Selecting a specific genre gives you more control over the placement of each track in a store and may also result in a feature if labeled correctly. This is relevant both for our Distribution customers and users of our Promo system.
We have split the genre into three fields as follows:
Beatport Genre – This is the genre that the track will appear in for EDM oriented stores such as Beatport, Juno and Trackitdown.
iTunes Genre – This is the genre that the track will appear in for commercially-oriented stores such as iTunes and Amazon MP3.
Custom Genre – This is the genre tag that will be applied for your track within the Label Engine system and will appear on your promos and shared tracks.
