First, check that the release status is 'Ready for Submission' - you can see this on the release toolbar when editing your release.

If the status is not 'Ready for Submission', you will first need to double check that you have completed everything correctly. Please check the following:

  • Have you uploaded the artwork?

  • Have you completed all the release data?

  • Have you added your tracks?

  • Have you completed all the track data for every tracks?

  • Have you specified one or more songwriters?

  • Have you uploaded valid 16-bit wav files for every track?

Each individual track will display 'Ready' next to it when editing a release if they have been completed.

If you are having trouble uploading a wav for your track it may be related to the file type - files exported using a non-standard setting will not be accepted. We recommend you try re-exporting (bouncing) your wav files again and re-uploading.

Once your release is ready to submit, you will see a button 'Distribute Release' towards the bottom of the edit release page. Click it to move forward.

You will now have an opportunity to review your release. Please go through all the data and confirm that everything is correct. Any changes required after this point will require a support request to be submitted. If you require any changes, you can click 'edit release' at the top of the page. If you are certain everything is correct, click the confirmation checkbox and click 'Distribute Release'.

We will review your release and will alert you if any changes need to be made before it can be submitted to the stores. While your release is being distributed it will be locked, meaning you cannot make any changes to it. Once distribution has been completed it will be unlocked, however we recommend against making any changes to the release unless we advise you to for a support issue.
