Whether you're distributing a fully generated AI artist, or using AI assistance for select elements of a track, you can now correctly credit AI usage in Label Engine.
AI Artist information:
You can now disclose that the artist you are tagging is a fully generated AI artist, which will create an AI Artist persona on DSPs.
If you select AI artist under the artist profile:
Applies to the selected alias everywhere, not just this track: the group members of every track credited to this alias are replaced by the single “Generative AI” credit the next time that track is saved.
The artist profile will have an AI persona badge/tag on DSPs that collect this metadata.
Example of when to use this tag:
You wrote the lyrics, but the rest is AI-generated.
Main Artist - AI Artist
Producer, Musician - AI credit
You - Lyrics
How to list AI Group Members
You have the ability to list out certain credits and group members as made by AI in Label Engine.
You will now see an "AI" checkbox next to group members. When you select this, every role next to that group member is tagged as AI-generated. You will see the selections you made.
An example of when you would use this is:
A human generates lyrics using AI, but creates everything else themselves and releases it under their own name:
Primary Artist: Human Artist Name
Group Member 1: Human Artist Name
Roles for Group Member 1: Vocals, Producer
Group Member 2: GenerativeAI
Roles for Group Member 2: Lyrics AI
How to Add AI Credits to Human Artists
You also have the ability to add AI credits to a human group member.
An example of when you would use this:
A human writes a song and uses AI to translate his voice into a different language. The song is released under the human's name:
Primary Artist: Human Artist Name
Group Member 1: Human Artist Name
Roles for Group Member 1: Vocals AI, Producer, Lyrics
