What is Artist Profile Protection
Artist Profile Protection is an optional feature that gives artists more control over which releases appear on their artist profile, contribute to their stats, and show up in recommendations.
Artists have to opt in on Spotify for Artists to set up Artist Profile Protection. It is currently in beta and being slowly rolled out to users.
When an artist opts in:
They'll be given two new options in SFA for approving releases before they are listed on their profile:
An Approvals Tab where they can approve or decline releases and view all pre-approved releases
A unique Artist Key that can be included in the delivery metadata of a release for automatic pre-approval
They’ll also be notified anytime a release is delivered to Spotify, listing them as an artist
How to add the artist key in Label Engine:
Under the artist profile section, you now have the option to add the artist key under the artist URI for Spotify.
