On digital platforms, performers, featuring artists, and remixers are commonly acknowledged, while supporting roles might be less visible. Digital music providers are increasingly supporting and requiring these roles for proper crediting. It's recommended to provide detailed information during release to enhance how they are displayed.

  • Primary Artist: the main artist that performed on the track

  • Featured Artist: an artist that performed on a track but was not the main artist (e.g. “Primary Artist - Title (feat. Featured Artist)”)

  • Remixer: the client(s) who has reworked an original track

  • Contributor: the client(s) who were involved in the track, but won’t get credited (similar to “Artist Hidden”, in the previous Label Engine interface)

  • Payee: the client(s) who did not contribute to the track, but will get paid
